"Everything is Fine" on Josh Turner Tour with Media Visions Setting the Stage Using PST-12HD Video Panels

BROOKINGS, S.D. – November 12, 2009 – Following the gold certification of his third studio album, “Everything is Fine,” country music star Josh Turner hit the road for a number of tour dates backed by a creative arrangement of Daktronics PST-12HD portable video panels provided by Media Visions, an audio-visual rental company.

The setup, featuring a large center-stage display and four smaller video columns (two on each side), provided attendees with a variety of high-resolution graphics and special effects along with crowd shots and live footage of the performances.

“With so many things going on during the show, it’s nice to not worry about the LED product,” said Rob Devlin, the tour’s video director. “There’s not one bad thing about it.”

As a completely portable solution, the Daktronics display combines thin, lightweight video panels with an intuitive, building-block assembly platform to allow tour technicians to quickly setup and teardown the display as the show moves from venue to venue. An additional advanced pixel design allows the display to produce razor-sharp image contrast while eliminating color shifts at off viewing angles.

Larry Brummett, the tour’s LED technician, found the daily setup and teardown to be extremely easy. “The lightweight, intuitive rigging system has made it possible to bring LED video into smaller venues that would not normally be able to support it,” Brummett said. “No matter what venue we go in, there is always some way we can incorporate Daktronics video panels. Throughout the entire tour we have been hearing from venue managers that they had never seen anything like this in their venue.”
