Daktronics Digital LED Scorer’s Tables Increasing Excitement and Revenue for College Basketball Programs

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Jan. 5, 2009 – More and more college basketball programs are taking their scoring and display capabilities courtside with Daktronics (Nasdaq – DAKT) digital scorer’s tables.

Featured at the last three Men’s and Women’s NCAA Final Four® tournaments, Daktronics digital scorer’s tables, located courtside, are the latest technology improvement for enhancing fans’ game-day excitement. Digital scorer’s tables showcase student-athletes, display real-time stats, recognize sponsors and promote upcoming events. With Daktronics 10 millimeter LED technology, the scorer’s tables display colorful graphics, messages and video clips with clear, vivid images.

Last season, UCLA added six digital scorer’s tables to Pauley Pavilion to inform and entertain the Bruin faithful. “The new scorer’s tables have been a great addition to Pauley Pavilion. It has enhanced our fan experience plus added visibility to our corporate sponsors generating additional revenue,” said Ross Bjork, senior associate athletic director for external relations at UCLA. The digital technology gives sponsors more flexibility and reduced costs when changing messages, more visible motion graphics, and the capability for interactive promotions with fans.

The scorer’s tables have the capabilities to integrate into nearly any scoring system. At Pauley Pavilion, the six scorer’s tables highlight a state-of-the-art scoring and display system that includes four corner LED ribbon displays (measuring 21 feet wide by 3 feet high).
