Daktronics LED Video Technology Returns for 2010 Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls

BROOKINGS, S.D. – March 4, 2010 – Daktronics Inc (Nasdaq-DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., announced today that in preparation for the return of NCAA Division I postseason tournaments, the company has made temporary light emitting diode (LED) video enhancements to the Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Set to begin Saturday, March 6, 2010, the Summit League Tournament and its fans will see all the action on Daktronics large-screen LED video technology during the four-day event. These video displays will be suspended above center court, providing up-to-the-minute stats, graphics and animations.

Accompanying the centerhung display are three digital LED scorer’s tables, similar to those featured at previous Men’s and Women’s NCAA Final Four® tournaments. The three tables will be located courtside between the player’s benches with six foot backlit tables on either end for advertisements.

“The Sioux Falls Sports Authority appreciates what Daktronics brings to the Summit League Championship games,” said Mike Sullivan, Sioux Falls Sports Authority Executive Director. “The video enhancements bring a high level of energy and atmosphere adding up to an exciting weekend of basketball for fans and athletes.”

To control all of the equipment, Daktronics will again install a temporary control room at the Arena. The room will feature all of the standard equipment Daktronics uses when placing permanent equipment at a facility.

“We are excited for the return of The Summit League Basketball Championships to Sioux Falls,” said Tom Douple, Summit League Commissioner. “The record-setting attendance last season was something to build upon and we look forward to what Daktronics will bring to the overall experience for our fans and student-athletes again this year.”
